Danish Pierrot La Lune AW14 has the prettiest campaign this year: the look book is filled with amazing photography that showcases their beautiful timeless collection so well. The light is dim, the mood is beautiful and the clothes are stunning. It feels like your being taken back to the time your parents were not yet born, and life was less hectic and the air was much cleaner than it is today. I feel that I can with certainty say that most scandinavians will love these timeless pieces and the place they take us: Growing up in the northern parts of this world, natural materials and products are a mere core as they have always been in abundance, and we are taught from early on to treasure our heritage and our history. Wool, wood, leather and cotton are natural materials that most of us will often lean towards, as it is just what we were taught to appreciate. It is quite amazing to witness how the scandinavian way of life is getting more and more popular around the world: and with right: it is a fabulous way of life too.
The fact that you have amazing designers like Emilie Ventujol who care about treasuring the past as well as the future, is, in fact, the future, as sustainability in production will become more and more important in preserving our beautiful world.

All these pieces are made in organic cotton or pure alpaca wool knitted by Bolivian women who work under fair trade conditions. Care has been taken to make sure these items are sustainable, comfortable and timeless. To read more about Pierrot La Lune's sustainable cotton and production, click HERE:::

Danish Pierrot la Lune was established in 2013 by designer Emilie Ventujol as the realization of a lifelong dream of creating timeless and sophisticated yet playful and informal childrenswear. The Pierrot la Lune look has a touch of nostalgia; a dreamy and magical aesthetic referring to old movies and faded photos from a childhood in southern Europe in the 50s and 60s. The cuts are simple and wearable, the colours are subdued, and the classic stripes and beautiful floral prints bare resemblance of faded wallpapers or quilts from grandma’s attic.
Emilie Ventujol’s family background has also contributed to her design skills and aesthetic development. Her grandfather was one of the biggest names in Danish design history, the furniture designer Børge Mogensen (1914-1972), and her grandmother sparked her interest in drawing and sewing. Her grandfather’s influence is also apparent in Emilie Ventujol’s design philosophy and clear vision for Pierrot la Lune to produce timeless children’s fashion of high quality, but at reasonable prices.

ace&jig is a textile love story based in Brooklyn NY, and is composed or Cary Vaughan and Jenna Wilson, who met more than 10 years ago as fashion design interns, and instantly bonded over their shared love of antique textiles. After becoming mothers they both felt it was time to work together again, thus ace&jig was born. ace&jig is not just for the littles, their main focus is women's clothing. I stumbled upon this delicious label through instagram as someone I follow, I can't remember who, had bought a little dress for their little girl and I instantly loved it: This lead me to look it up and I absolutely love their passion for what they do: it shines through in their pieces which are timeless, comfortable and beautiful. This mama needs to get herself a dress or skirt. Or both!!
The production is so fascinating and you should take a look at the link below. ace&jig work with indian partners who share their core values and practice the holistic kaizen philosophy of continuing to improve. Not only do they provide free childcare, they also use reclaimed water to grow organic produce for their employees.

"our search for the ideal manufacturer led us to India, where we found experienced textile specialists weaving on ancient wooden hand looms. several times a year we travel there and work one-on-one with weavers to create our authentic fabrics.
our colors and silhouettes shift, but each collection is anchored by the stripe. we believe yarn-dye stripes, whether created by alternating textures or through pops of saturated color, are an iconic and timeless medium, and an endless source for reinvention. "

Gardner and the gang AW14 the hippies, is without a doubt one of the cutest collections this fall. Known for their fun and quirky colourful prints, Gardner and the Gang does not disappoint with this collection.
Meet Hilda the Hippie Hippo (She is one rad hippo), and Richie the Racoon (he is one cool dude with best moustache ever)! The colours are happy, the fabrics are organic and soft, the quality is superb and the cuteness factor is sky-high in these threads!
You cannot go wrong with Gardner and the Gang this season.
I think my little miss will love the racoon (who reminds me so much of Willie Nelson! Anyone else who see this?) And who does not love the Peace Van?? And Hilda the hippo! Did you see the Hippo raincoat? Aaaaahmazingness!
And these kids! Oh so cute! Way to Go, Gardner and the Gang.

Bobo Choses AW14 A day in L.A. just landed at Stars in a Jar  and we celebrated by completely soaking in delicious patterns and incredible prints, pulled on our EMU boots and MAA kicks and went out in the beautiful Sydney springtime weather for a little play with swords (my little pirates) and a search for Totoro.
I have to start by mentioning Miss W's cardigan: it is a little piece of mohair perfection, and made princess W feel so comfy and warm, even though all she was wearing underneath was a thin sweater (the swan sweater in sz 4/5) The beanie is a fluffy piece of wonderful and can we just take a minute to soak up Mr C's incredible pants and shirts? The denim used in these pants are the most incredible denim! He has not taken them off since! I loved matching Bobo Choses with Agatha Cub AW14 bodega ruby shirt and cap. What a match made in heaven! Prints galore, LOVE!
(And I have to take a minute to say that I felt that both their footwear really completed their look.
Miss W is wearing Emu Australia Toddle shoes and Mr C is wearing MAA shoes hallifay shoes)

Sometimes when we go out like this I wonder what people think walking/driving past: these kids will have the most awesome time exploring pretty much anything: today they stopped by "the white wall" and began looking for Totoro under the house.
Then they began collecting acorns and seeds from the ground. Then we met the friendly neighbourhood cat, he is such a gem! and we had a good 30 min just playing with him, before we walked to the playpark which seemed to keep their attention for a 15 min before they wanted to explore more which resulted in a treasure/ cat hunt before heading home.
This is my favourite type of day: just letting them be kids: curious and wonderful.

Happy weekend to you all. Stay rad.
