THE PRINCE IN BROOKLYN // FEATURING LITTLE ELEVN PARIS & SOMEDAY SOON

Happy Fall Friends!

We are so loving the last bits of awesome weather! We have been spending lots of time in my old city, New York.

New York is a city for dreamers... and the old adage is true, if you can make it here you can make it anywhere. Being a mom of  young one has made me appreciate the city even more.

Absolutely  nothing beats the cool hoods of Brooklyn for a day of adventuring. We started the day visiting the vibrant neighborhood of Bedstuy with a visit to the infamous doughnut haven aptly named Dough. D-elicious is all that needs to be said. Bright fuchsia colored Hibiscus glazed doughnut adorned dried hibiscus.... good God I am drooling as I type. A trip to the playground was in order the burn off all that sugar.

Brooklyn was the perfect backdrop to test out some amazing gear from Little Eleven Paris and Someday Soon Official. I am a huge fan of these brands as they make clothing that are void of overly cutesy patterns and prints,  (read cool enough for your style conscience babe)  but offer total comfort and freedom of movement.  The Mickey pants are truly amazing and a really a fabulous weight. Nice and sturdy and the softest cotton. So perfect for a very wild and active boy! We paired with a mesh tee, which is simple and stylish all at once. We decided to top the look with a cute beanie from AA.

This fall outfit gives me all the feels! Win for mama and kiddo!

Hope everyone is having a fab fall/spring!

much love from NY,

K+P

ORGANIC AND ETHICALLY MADE LION OF LEISURE FROM ANTWERP :: MEETS SWEDISH I DIG DENIM ON A BEACH IN AUSTRALIA

There’s something magical about the last hour at the beach just before the sun goes down. As a photographer you always look for that golden light. That mystical light.
I just love to go down and play on the beach with Mr L at that time of day and it’s so nice to feel the fresh breeze from the ocean.
At our favourite little beach they are doing some construction, building a new boat ramp for the summer. It’s a fun playground for him and I love the industrial looking backdrops. There’s not to many of them were we live.
We went to the city also and found a great outlook of the city high up in a skyscraper! Leon was a bit afraid to go out to the balcony. I didn’t blame him.
Mr L is wearing the coolest little illustrated, and hand screen printed, T-shirts from Lion of Leisure.
I just love that their clothes are non-seasonal / timeless. From the beginning husband and wife team, Saskia and Matthew, has made it clear that they wish their products to always be on point, not just for a few months until the next season collections drop.  Their aim is to make timeless pieces that will last and can be handed down after the children grow out of them. They make new prints and expand their non-seasonal collection all the time. The illustrations are so beautifully drawn and I love that they come with a bit of sass and humour. Mr L is in the age where he wants to decide what to wear and animal prints are his favourite!! Mr L is wearing the Lion jumper who says Aaaaaahh…, The very cool High five bear hand and express yourself inking octopus! So good!
Lion of Leisure use biodegradable water based inks that are not harmful to your bub or the environment. The tees are made of the softest GOTS certified cotton.

I hope you all will Enjoy your late spring evenings!
Kind Regards,

xx Ingrid Sjödahl

SCOTCH AND SODA FOR KIDS R'BELLE & SHRUNK // ETHICAL CHILDREN'S FASHION FOR THE FUN AND ADVENTUROUS

Hello friends! Hello summer! Hello white sandy beaches!!
This winter was gorgeous, I must admit that there was not many times where I thought it was too cold (but I am Norwegian... maybe I do appreciate this climate after all;) but do you know what? Springtime... no matter how wonderfully warm your winter may have been... springtime will always be kinda magical. That warm and beautiful sun and that cool crisp wind, no humidity and mostly just a comfortable warmth that brings all the people out of their houses and down to the beach!! As a sahm (stay at home mom) with sahk (stay at home kids) winter can get a bit lonely and long.. we hang out most days by the beach but there is generally not many people about, but in the coming months, our little town will be buzzing with life and kids. Best. Time. To. Be. Alive!!!

We do enjoy going on adventures though, and we try to do that as often as we can. I love white sandy beaches and the beach where we live is golden so I love heading out! This little place is an hour from where we live and it is filled to the rind with magic. Caves. White sand dunes. Volcanic  rocks. Coal. Shells in every size and shape... and hours of fun exploring and sandbathing.

The kids played around for ages.
I had dressed them in gorgeous colours and fabrics this day, it was a bit chilly but warm enough to have bare legs and to run barefoot. Mr C loves his scotch shrunk ( by scotch and soda amsterdam ) bamboo 2-1 style grandpa pullover! Him being an aspiring ninja and all, he knows and loves bamboo like nothing else.
The gorgeous grandpa sweater comes with a stripe ls tee; so when you purchase this, you kind of get one for free.
He also wore the comfiest mercer denim shorts! I love the fit. They are a little big and baggy but can be rolled up for that retro look.

Miss W was wearing the sweetest beach skirt and her new favourite crew neck sweater. ((Miss W doesn't even like bananas but for this sweater she made an exception and she adores it) scotch r'belle sure know how to make the perfect outfits for the little beach babes.
Buckets and spades is the biggest Scotch & Soda kids wear stockist in Australia. They offer world wide shipping and great prices and some amazing sales pieces as well. For more, (( see here ))

I hope the weather is lovely where you are, so you too can roll out the summer clothes and embrace the feeling of grass and sand between your toes! We still have chilly days ahead and I'm not giving up on autumn/winter just yet, but summer... we are ready for you!! I promise I wont complain about humidity, frizz, mosquitoes, heat or zink sunscreen stains this year........

Lovely weekend to you! May it be full of adventure
